Elizabeth Cooper, RMT (Registered Massage Therapist)
Elizabeth Cooper graduated from Sutherland-Chan School in 1990 and has been a practising Registered Massage Therapist since that time.
She returned to Sutherland-Chan as an instructor in 1992 and taught Clinical Theory and Pathology from 1992-1999. In 2000 Beth became a Subject Matter Expert for the regulatory College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, helping to create both written and practical exam material and acting as an examiner for licensing.
From 2000-2006, Beth worked with Designated Assessment Centres. These Centres performed neutral, third-party assessments on patients recovering from Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and her work included collaboration with orthopaedic specialists, physiatrists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and kinesiologists in order to evaluate and recommend treatment for MVA patients.
Beth’s practice and approach to treatment have continued to develop as new challenges walk through the clinic door and as she has taken courses of interest. Some of these include: Cranio-sacral Therapy, Reiki, TMJ treatment, Hot Stone Massage, Thai Stem Massage, Low Intensity Laser Therapy.
At all times, Beth is interested in providing massage therapy treatment and homecare suggestions to improve your function and reduce your pain.
